A woman’s memories of her birth experiences last a lifetime and can have powerful effects on her self-esteem and confidence. I am committed to tenderly care for women and to help couples feel empowered and supported as they experience birth. Our training and knowledge is just the vessel to support and facilitate families to make the decisions that suit them best.
Birth Doula Services
Childbirth is a very natural process. It is unique to each family. Pregnancy and childbirth are a divine gift and privilege given by God. Birth under normal low risk circumstances can be safe and without intervention. Birth just as pregnancy sets the foundation for the life of a child, so does birth is a transformative key life experience. Psalm 51 says that the Lord knows our thoughts even in our mother’s womb. Also Psalm 139 declares “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
It is my desire to nurture the birthing experience by providing education, access to information, and continued care and support to expecting parents.
We understand that no two births are alike, and outcomes sometimes do not result in the desired plan. With that in mind we support VBAC moms and planned or unplanned cesarean. We are aware that this is an unsettling time, so we provide nurturing care and comfort to ease the situation. We do not replace partners, rather we work together to provide the ideal team to facilitate a memorable birthing experience. We draw on our professional training, knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, and physical comfort.
As a Birth Doula I do not intend to replace partners. Instead I provide prenatal education about the birthing process, assist in preparing and carrying out the plan for birth, offer support and suggestions, direct and coordinate the efforts of others to assist the birthing mother.
Important to know that as a doula I “DO NOT”
